HEYYYY. :D im in chilton st james girls school's library now. the school not as big as nanyang, not as high either. there's only 2 levels, but the cosy atmosphere in the classrooms and the many buildings make up for it. :D the hills and mountains contribute greatly to the nice scenery here. but IM MISSING THE HEAT. D: it's like 12-24 degrees here. and we only arrived here the day before. and the weather's pretty bad lately. there's lots of rain here, and the weather forecast predicted HAIL. D: we're so freezing to death. but it cant be as bad as christchurch here. though wellington's like the windiest place in new zealand, and it sure is very very VERY windy, there's SNOW in christchurch, which is down south by the way, and i wonder how stephanie and kaiyun are doing. :/ im missing CHINESE and CHILLI too! haha. it's pretty amusing when we (the exchange students from nanyang to chilton) speak in english during classes and everyone goes "WOW. your english is REALLY GOOD." -.- haha. cause they like think our english pretty much sucks since we're like "yellow-skinned". D: and the food not that bad, but it's all really really healthy food. like vegetables, and fruits and lots and LOTS of salad. and ya BREAD. there's hardly rice and meat. :/ and lots of biscuits like shortbread and stuff. :/ and the food's normally plain. cause of the salads and stuff. so I MISS CHILLI. D: haha. weird. the people's really nice here. they're all really friendly and they do really crazy things like prankcalls on _____ and stuff. and they're like really really open here. O.O kinda scary seeing the things that they do. THE SCHOOL'S REALLY SLACK. there's like not much work even though exams are coming for them. and when we announced that we actually brought our own homework there they're like "isnt it your holiday!?" and we said ya and they went "you guys have HOMEWORK during your HOLIDAY?!" classes are pretty much different. the girls sort of like talk much more here. and they like throw and shout across the classroom when they need something from another person. and the teachers dont actually do much teaching. it's more of like doing worksheets and marking them during class. which is pretty weird. french lessons (which is the lesson that im supposed to be having now.) are weirder. cause their french isnt exactly the basic, it's really advanced. and we (sam and i) have to get melissa to translate the french they spoke for us. they're like learning how to read a french menu and order dishes and stuff. haha. and maths is quite okay. it's like simple trigo. science is on reproduction, and the class usually goes crazy in that lesson. -.- music is kinda fun. they have mac which has this programme called garage band, and you can like compose pop songs with it. which is SO COOL. ok fine i think the HMP students do it too but have never done it. :/ so. and GEMMA PLAYS THE BASS GUITAR! (YAY!) I CAN LIKE LEARN FROM HER HAHA. i tried playing it yesterday, and it's not that bad. the fingerinfgs are the same, and i just need to know how to hold the bass properly and pluck it. :/ and the strings arent even thicker than the double bass, which gives less problems. :D and the drumset is really cool! it's not a complete one though. :/ but it's all sparkly and loud. :D okay this is going nowhere. :/ okay it's social studies now. the girls are like making stuff for their enterprise week. and i got to go. :D ich liebe Tom! 9:03 AM |
