witnessed something rather saddening on the way back home today. like always, i took 302 back home from the interchange today. but today, there was lady who was blind in the queue in front of me. so i, being after her, helped her up the bus. since we were at the front of the queue, we managed find our seats quite easily, and i sat next to her, preparing to help her off the bus when she needed to alight at her stop. but cause it was during the peak hours, the bus soon began to be flooded, and all the seats were taken up. another lady with 2 toddlers, and a pram, came up the bus and stood beside me, looking around for seats. when the bus started moving, she realised her two toddlers were lost admist the crowd of people standing, and no one had given up their seats to them. she started saying very loudly: "walao! 为什么没有人让位的?!" i started feeling guilty and looked around. behind me sat a malay mother with 2 children. across the aisle sat another mother and child. the lady began staring at me. i rose to get up, but realised that the blind lady had her hand on my arm, so i couldnt exactly give up my seat. & so i did nothing. the journey was painful. i could feel the lady's eyes staring at me, but i was helpless. torn between the decisions to make, unsure of what to do. i looked ahead and saw some other middle age ladies and a guy in his mid fourties sitting in front. pretending to be unaware of whatever's happening. we take our seats for granted. the bus began to sway, and worried for her daughter's safety, the lady decided to carry her younger toddler instead. with only one hand to support her balance on the bus ride, anyone could tell she was having difficulty. yet no one did anything. it was painful just to watch it. are singaporeans really that complacent to their surroundings? i mean. okay. maybe i had a fault too. maybe i should have just given up my seat to her kid and when it was the blind lady's stop, tell her to get up and lead her down the bus. but really. it isnt my first time witnessing this type of situations, where nobody does anything to give up their own seats to the people in need. D: finally, two stops before it was time to help the blind lady off the bus, a couple alighted, and the lady saw the seats. immediately, -points to the seats- "TONG TONG! QUICK GO SIT THERE NOW. DONT LET OTHER PEOPLE SIT." heh. is this what we have to resort to? ----- today is a happy day! :D (besides the above incident) went to school for econs today, thinking that i wouldnt see alot of people in school today, but hey! i spotted alot of people! :D like half the frisbee team, band people and loads of other random people. :D totally made my day hahah. makan with e-hui, then went to 7N class bench to mug with e-hui, yang xuan, kanzy, nelson and jasmine hahaha. quite effective, despite the times where jansen, melvin, and kevin hung around and began to flick (with totally tempted me so much. D: ) and them saying super hilarious stuff. kevin is damn rubbish lah. totally. HAHA. hilarious. melvin and jansen went to coro to makan and help us buy bubbletea. :D and the rest of us continued mugging, until they came back hahah. flicked around abit with xiangjing before going home. my hucks and forehand throws seriously sucks now D: roarrrrr. just finished attempting all the questions that lee chay koon asked us to do, though i spent like 2 hours in school trying to do 2 questions (with alot alot of help from e-hui, haha THANKS! <3) and went home to attempt the rest, so i have alot which i dont know how to do ._. ayeee. have yet to study for tmr's econs, there's still issues and ideas which i planned to touch today ._. urgh and i havent started on math and bio D: gg. there's training tmr! -------- often, i let my heart lead my head. shouldnt it be the other way round? urgh. lovelovelovelovelove.
